Expect traffic delays on South 19th Street from Jan. 5-9 as Tacoma’s Public Works Department Street Operations Division makes repairs, according to a City of Tacoma news release.

Work will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and traffic will be reduced to one lane between South Jackson Avenue and Grandview Drive West. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use different routes.

Traffic patterns for nearby neighborhoods, including areas bordering University Place, could be affected by the construction, the city said.

No full street closures are anticipated, the release said. The work is weather-dependent, and project timing is subject to change.
