A three-vehicle crash has blocked a lane on southbound state Route 167 in Sumner on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred near West Valley Highway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation at 1:49 p.m.

The crash involves two cars and a dump truck, the WSDOT Tacoma account posted on X.

Medical aid was requested for minor injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts told The News Tribune.

Traffic is getting by in the left lane, but delays are expected. Two tow trucks were called to the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

3:17 p.m. update: A specialty tow arrived to remove the dump truck from the area. The two cars have already been removed from the area, according to WSDOT.

“There will be some cleanup work after it moves. The right lane remains closed while we work to clear the road,” the account wrote on X.
