Traffic is piling up along State Route 512 Thursday afternoon after a collision caused a cable barrier to block the roadway, the Washington Department of Transportation shared on X.

The collision was first reported at 6:14 p.m. on westbound SR 512 near South Meridian Avenue in Puyallup.

Traffic is backed up on southbound State Route 167 to West Valley Highway, according to the post. Crews are on their way to clear the scene.
