Two lanes are blocked on northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred before 8:52 a.m. near South Yakima Avenue, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

A driver struck their vehicle into a barrier. They were assessed by medical aid on scene and did not have any injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts told The News Tribune.

Watts said the cause of the crash was likely speeding too fast for the weather condition.

The HOV lane is blocked.

Update: The crash has cleared.
