Traffic alert: Collision on eastbound State Route 16 snarls afternoon commute

A car crash on eastbound State Route 16 partially blocked the roadway and an entrance ramp Tuesday afternoon.

The two-car collision was first reported at 4:17 p.m. near Center Street, the Washington Department of Transportation shared on X.

The right lane of SR 16 was blocked and the entrance ramp from South Orchard Street was partially blocked, the post said.

Traffic stretched two miles eastbound from the accident site to the SR-16 intersection at Sixth Avenue, according to the WSDOT traffic map.

No one was injured and no arrests were made, State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts told The News Tribune.
