Update: At 8:55 a.m., WSDOT posted on X that the left lane and center turn lane are blocked southbound, while the left lane is blocked northbound.

Two collisions have happened on both directions of state Route 161 near Puyallup.

According to an X post from WSDOT, a collision happened on state Route 161 southbound near milepost 23 near 144th Street East at 7:48 a.m.

About 18 minutes later, WSDOT posted about a separate collision at 8:06 a.m. on state Route 161 northbound near milepost 22, by 152nd Street East.

“The intersection is partially blocked,” WSDOT wrote about the northbound collision.
