Update: SR 512 reopens near Puyallup following fatal wreck investigation

Update: The freeway is now open, WSDOT reported about 6:20 p.m.

Original post: A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck that is blocking all lanes of eastbound State Route 512 near Puyallup on Monday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The crash involving the motorcycle, a box truck and two other cars occurred about 3:25 p.m., trooper Kameron Watts posted on X.

The state Department of Transportation described it as “a serious crash” in an X post.

“We expect this to be an extended closure. Traffic is being diverted at E Pioneer Ave,” the agency said in the post. “Use alternate routes while crews respond.”
