One person has been sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash in Puyallup.

Tim Susee, spokesperson for Central Pierce Fire & Rescue, told The News Tribune the collision happened at about 2:38 p.m. at 140th Street Court East and Woodland Avenue East.

When crews arrived on the scene, they saw one car on its side, Susee said. Two of the vehicles were totaled, while another had minor damage.

Susee said the intersection was closed, but told The News Tribune at about 3:43 p.m. that it would reopen “within the next five minutes.”

The News Tribune asked Susee how the collision happened, and he said they have turned the incident over to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.
