Motorcyclist versus vehicle crash leaves one critically injured in Tacoma

Update, 5:00 p.m.: The victim is still alive but remains in critical condition, Tacoma Police Public Information Officer Shelbie Boyd said.

The victim is an adult male, Boyd said. The other vehicle remained on scene after the incident.

Original post: A motorcyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a vehicle in south Tacoma Thursday afternoon.

The Tacoma Fire Department responded to an accident at the intersection of East 64th Street and East D Street at approximately 3:35 p.m., Public Information Officer Chelsea Shepherd told The News Tribune.

Responders found a motorcyclist in critical condition and transported them to the hospital, Shepherd said.

As of 4:25 p.m., the road is still partially blocked as the Tacoma Police Department investigates the incident.
