Crash on state Route 507 near Roy cleared

Update: The crash was cleared at about 10:32 a.m., according to an X post from WSDOT.

Original story: A collision is holding up traffic on southbound state Route 507 near Roy.

According to a 9:19 a.m. X post from the Washington State Department of Transportation, the collision happened near milepost 32 by 336th Street South.

Trooper Kameron Watts, spokesperson for the Washington State Patrol, told The News Tribune the crash involved two cars, with one person requesting aid for minor injuries. Watts said he does not yet know how the crash happened or what the cause is.

Fire crews are on scene, Watts said, and are alternating traffic with one lane blocked off.

The News Tribune also reached out to South Pierce Fire & Rescue and did not receive an immediate response.
