Update: The collision has cleared, WSDOT posted at 2:53 p.m.

Original story: A collision has caused traffic back-ups on southbound state Route 99 in Fife.

According to an X post from the Washington State Department of Transportation at 1:17 p.m., the collision happened near Wapato Way East.

The right lane is blocked, the post said.

The News Tribune reached out to trooper Kameron Watts, spokesperson for the Washington State Patrol, but did not receive an immediate response.
