Serious-injury collision near I-5 and SR-16 causes lengthy lane closures
A two-car collision on southbound Interstate 5 caused serious injuries Tuesday night, according to Washington State Patrol.
At 7:29 p.m., WSDOT Tacoma reported the collision on I-5 near State Route 16 on X.
The HOV lane and left lane are blocked, Trooper Kameron Watts shared on X. Due to the serious injuries of one of the involved parties, the lanes will remain closed for an extended amount of time, Watts said.
