Edgewood drivers can expect delays this week.

According to a Facebook post from the city of Edgewood, crews will be conducting chip sealing at 122nd Avenue East, from the intersection 8th Street East and 122nd Avenue East to the intersection of 24th Street East and 122nd Avenue East.

Work will be happening from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2, the post said.

“Both northbound and southbound lanes will be affected as crews complete the chip seal work,” the post said. “If all goes as planned, the project is expected to be completed by the end of the workday on Thursday, July 2.”

The city urged drivers to be careful when traveling in that area.

“Please plan ahead, expect delays, reduce your speed through the work zone, and watch for crews and equipment,” the post said.
