Sound Transit to hold open house on Puyallup station expansion

Commuters can learn more about and comment on Sound Transit’s plans to expand parking at its Puyallup Sounder Station during an open house Tuesday.

Current plans called for the agency to build:

▪ A 500-stall parking garage on what’s known as the Eagles property near the existing station.

▪ A pedestrian bridge over Fifth Street Northwest from the garage to the existing station.

▪ A pedestrian/bicycle bridge over the railroad tracks at the station.

▪ More surface parking along the north side of Third Avenue Northwest.

The improvements are estimated to cost $55 million.

The open house will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at Puyallup City Hall, 333 S. Meridian.
