Intersection of East Bay and East 28th streets to close this weekend
Construction crews repaving and widening Interstate 5 through Tacoma will shut down the intersection of East Bay and East 28th streets starting Friday night to rebuild that intersection.
The work will close access to state Route 167 from southbound I-5 and access to northbound I-5 from the 28th Street on-ramp.
Detours will be in place.
The work on the intersection is expected to wrap up by 4 a.m. Monday.
