Video shows airline passenger threatening to ‘kill everybody’ on flight from Seattle
An Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing on Saturday after a man on board threatened to kill everyone on the plane.
Video of the incident posted on Twitter shows a man walking down the aisle and yelling that he would “kill everybody” on the plane, telling them to “die in the name of Jesus.”
The man wasn’t armed and no one was injured, Peter McGraw, spokesperson for Port of Seattle Police, told The Seattle Times.
“The man became extremely belligerent and physically aggressive during the ascent,” an Alaska Airlines spokesperson, Ray Lane, told The Seattle Times.
Alaska Airlines Flight 422 was headed to Chicago and returned to the Seattle-Tacoma Airport, according to King 5.
The man was subdued by two passengers, a police officer, and flight crew, King 5 reported.
He was taken into custody by Port of Seattle Police upon landing and was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of harassment, KOMO News reported.
The flight was cancelled and the rest of the passengers were booked onto the next flight to Chicago, American Airlines told KOMO News.
