Colorful house listed in North Carolina gives people ‘lots of Blue’s Clues energy’
A house on the real estate market for $430,000 in Charlotte, North Carolina, is giving new meaning to the term “never judge a book by its cover” — at least when it comes to a popular social media page.
Described as “cute” by the listing on Zillow.com, the two-bedroom, one-bath house has gone through a few upgrades, including replacement windows and new tile in the kitchen. But that’s not why people are interested in this 1,080-square-foot property.
Take one glance at the pictures and it’s easy to see why fans on Zillow Gone Wild are intrigued — and a little confused — by the vivid color scheme of the interior.
“This house is sponsored by the letter P, for primer,” one person joked when it comes to the blue and yellow paint job in some of the rooms.
“Somebody scored big at the mis-mixed paint sale at menards, I see...” another said.
“But only the four-color set that you get with the special placemat at restaurants,” another joked.
“Looks like it was their primary residence,” one person commented.
“No secondary colors allowed!” another exclaimed.
“Looks like a Nickelodeon show is filmed in there,” one person observed.
“The exterior is beautiful. I’d have to tone down the walls indoors but as for everything else I’d leave it, it’s perfect,” another fan said.
“Honestly, the only thing I’m not a fan of is the yellow but even that shade works well with the blues and the whites,” one comment said.
“Painter: ‘Sorry, all we have is the basic set of crayon colors....’” another joked.
“I actually wish more homes used primary colors on the inside and out,” one person said.
“Lots of Blue’s Clues energy here,” another commented.
