Home for sale in Ohio has some people asking ‘should this house exist?’ See why
Avid house hunters can tell you — there are some homes for sale that can leave a person in awe with their chic interiors and extravagant exteriors. But then there are other ones that make them ask “huh?”
This three-bedroom, 3.5-plus-bathroom home on the real estate market in Columbus, Ohio, for $2.4 million falls into the latter category.
“An entertainer’s dream! Immaculate home on the river,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “Turn down the winding driveway and park under the portico drive to notice the level of detail that went into building this beautiful home.”
While the home on the outside is a fine-looking spectacle, the inside is a tad questionable, considering some out-of-place features — especially in the primary bedroom.
Yes, that’s a bathtub right next to the bed.
Of course, there are other amenities the 6,403-square-foot home offers, including:
Sunken living room
Large fireplace
Primary bedroom sauna
Huge patio
Outdoor fireplace
Oh, did we mention there are also offices on the lower level? Even has a reception area, just in case you wanted to open your own car dealership.
The unique home piqued the interest of the Twitter account @TheBestofZillow, which highlights “The best worst houses online,” the bio reads.
“There also appears to be a full doctor’s office(?)” the account tweeted. “I’ve learned not to ask questions.”
More people chimed in with their thoughts on the property.
“There are definitely some questionable design choices,” one person said. “Should this house exist? Absolutely not, waste of space and resources. Bad use of the excessive square footage. Also though I love it and I want to step out of the sauna and roll directly into bed.”
“The bathtub is questionable,” another tweeted. “But that bedroom is awesome actually.”
“If the bathtub is by the bed...what’s in the bathroom?” someone asked.
Columbus is about 142 miles southwest of Cleveland.
