‘Foul odor’ leads to discovery of man’s body in BMW trunk, Las Vegas police say
A “foul odor” led to the discovery of a man’s body in a BMW parked outside a Las Vegas motel near the Strip, Nevada police reported.
Officers responded to reports of a strange smell coming from a suspicious vehicle about 1:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, according to a Las Vegas police news release.
They opened the trunk and discovered the decomposing body of a man, the release said. He appeared to have been dead for several months.
“It’s clear that it’s nefarious,” Lt. Jason Johansson with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told KSNV.
The body was found in a white BMW parked outside an apartment complex just west of the Las Vegas Strip, according to the station. The man’s identity and cause of death have not been released.
