Waterfront home in Tennessee comes packed with animals — from a carousel. Take a look
A three-bedroom, four-bathroom lakefront house is gathering some attention thanks to a few extra (fun) tenants, photos of the property show.
The residence, which is on the Gallatin, Tennessee, real estate market for $2 million, appears to have some life-size carousel animals scattered around the 5,581-square-foot home.
And the listing on Zillow.com fails to mention the painted guests.
“Stunning lakefront home with over 400 feet of waterfront property and two slip dock with lift,” the listing describes. “Extra room in basement used as fourth bedroom. Well built Ernst Botsko custom home has two patios and two decks off of back with spectacular lake views.”
Spacious and fun, the house comes with other features, including:
Media room
Heated floors in the primary bath
Unfinished 750-square-foot room in basement
Large rooms
Walk-in closets
Fans of Zillow Gone Wild, a popular social media real estate page, were amused by the unique property.
“Thank you ZGW for showing us other people’s fixations and confirming we’re all a little weird,” one person joked.
“I’m not sure why, but I feel like carousel animals moving into a house like this should be a scene from a Zillow Super Bowl commercial,” another person said.
“This is an example of ‘WAY too much of a good thing’ -- it’s tantamount to drowning your meal in piles of salt,” someone commented. “One carousel animal as a conversation piece in the study -- excellent. One in every corner? NIGHTMARE.”
“Look. I’m not sayin that’s creepy… but I’m absolutely NOT not saying it,” one person said.
“What an odd choice for decor,” another pointed out. “And those things aren’t cheap.”
“Deconstructed carousel? Fabulous. I’d put hardwood floors and white ceiling in the basement,” someone commented.
“That’s commitment to a theme!” one person said. “Not that I don’t think they are lovely because they are but I couldn’t have one in every room- no discipline; I would lay my clothes on each and every one of them…”
“I don’t have a single problem with this house at all,” another commented. “It’s a beautiful home, and clearly the owner is a collector.”
Gallatin is about 30 miles northeast of Nashville.
