Man accused of killing his twin brother outside hotel tracked down, Oregon cops say
A 26-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his twin brother outside a Portland hotel has been arrested in Washington, Oregon police say.
Martese Oliver of Washington died after being shot at 3:26 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at a hotel in the Sumner neighborhood, Portland police said in a news release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, Sept. 27, U.S. marshals arrested his twin brother, Martre Tirik Oliver, in Renton, Washington, police said.
He faces charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a firearm, the release said.
Police did not release details on the shooting in the 8200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office told The Oregonian that Oliver could be extradited to Oregon in seven to 90 days.
