Theme of this Texas house for sale is puzzling Zillow Gone Wild. What do you think?
If you’re visiting Los Angeles or Orlando, it’s common to see Airbnbs or homes that have Disney movie decor for short-term rentals, considering the proximity to the popular theme parks.
But to find a “Pirates of the Caribbean”-themed house all the way out in Plano, Texas, is a little … odd. Cool, but odd.
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom residence is fit for a Texan sporting an eye patch and parrot, and is listed for $650,000.
“Themed after a popular Disney movie, this home is Fantastic for Entertaining!” the listing on Zillow.com says.
The 3,153-square-foot home is so much more than just ship wheels. It also has an array of other features including:
Media room
Game room
Carport
Covered patio
Security system
2-person sauna
The theme of the home conjured up a guessing game across Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page and Twitter account that highlights unique houses for sale, and people were a tad confused.
“When did Disney make a Red Lobster movie?” one person joked.
“Both a pirate and a stock broker live here. I don’t make the rules — it’s what I see, “ another noted.
“The outside property is nice. Which is good, because that’s where I would spend all my time,” someone said. “I would then be blindfolded and escorted to bed every night.”
“Gray. So much gray,” one person pointed out. “Definitely would appeal to a specialized buyer. Others would step inside and say, ‘Nope!’”
“I feel like calling this ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ themed is pretty generous,” another observed.
“This is clearly Treasure Planet themed,” someone guessed.
“As much as I love Disney … this hurts my head,” on person said.
“This stresses me out,” another tweeted.
Plano is about 20 miles north of Dallas.
