‘Poor thing.’ Watch as trapped deer is freed from fence and hops into Oregon woods
A deer ended up lodged in a metal fence in Oregon with no way out, a video shows.
Then an officer came to the rescue.
Someone reported the trapped deer Wednesday, Nov. 8, the Lake Oswego Police Department posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It tried moving through a fence near someone’s home, but it got stuck between metal frames, a video shows. Another deer watched nearby, police said.
So an officer went behind the animal and began pushing its hind legs. When the animal was freed, it ran off into the woods.
“That poor thing,” someone commented on X.
Lake Oswego is about 5 miles south of Portland.
