In 1992 holiday comedy “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” fans will remember the lofty, Upper West Side townhouse that’s the setting for Kevin McCallister’s destructive, and deadly, playhouse setup where he lures the Wet Bandits after being separated from his family — again.

The famous estate is now up for sale for $6.7 million, and the interior of the four-bedroom, four-bathroom interior is dramatically different from the ruins presented in the movie.

It’s an iconic listing. It’s on a beautiful Central Park block,” listing agent Dexter Guerrieri told the New York Post. “The first block between Columbus and Amsterdam [avenues] is what we call the ‘Park Block,’ and [the townhouse] is actually on the nicest of the park blocks in the 90s, because it has beautiful townhouses on both sides of the street facing one another.”

Of course, scenes shot in the interior were filmed in a studio, which explains the differences, but the exterior was featured in the film, NPR notes.

The garden has “mature trees that provide both shade and privacy for the wood deck and bluestone patio,” the listing notes. “There is an irrigation system and recent upgrades have made the garden a secure oasis.”

“Even though the film was released two decades ago, the townhouse owners still get letters from children at their address,” Guerrieri told Deadline. “Also, just a few days ago a couple from Germany stood outside, taking photos.”
