Unique penthouse lists for a whopping $65M in Colorado. See the ‘true rarity’
Usually, penthouses are not uncommon on the real estate market in major cities like Los Angeles and New York. They are often sought out by the upper class in order to have a sense of refinery in a high tower of a home.
Oddly enough, it’ll be hard to find one in the tourist hot spot of Aspen, Colorado. However, there is one that’s considered a “rarity” in the vacation city — a three-story beauty with epic views. But, since it’s like finding a diamond in the rough, it’ll cost you.
$65 million to be exact.
“Penthouses are a rare and valuable commodity in downtown Aspen and are no longer allowed to be developed,” the listing on Compass says.
The Aspen City Council banned construction of penthouses in downtown in 2012 and gave buildings in the middle of construction a deadline, Aspen Times reported.
This four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 4,924-square-foot residence rests on top of Brunello Cucinelli, a clothing boutique, and is in a major hot spot in downtown.
Offered furnished, the residence has an abundance of high-end features, including:
Private elevator
Great room
Dining room
Chef’s kitchen
Three outdoor decks
Rooftop deck
Hot tub
Barbecue
Probably one of the main draws of the condo falls on the views that flow in from nearly every room of the property, where people can appreciate the softness of the snow drift that falls gently on the mountain tops.
The listing is held by Steven Shane.
