A suspect in a triple homicide was caught after four days on the run, Oklahoma authorities say.

Jacob Mayhugh, 22, was arrested in Oklahoma City on May 14 after being identified as a person of interest in the shooting death of his parents and sister, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and media reports citing court records.

McClatchy News was unable to locate attorney information for Mayhugh.

The Chickasha Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around 11:30 a.m. on May 11 and discovered three victims – two women and one man – dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to investigators.

The victims were identified as Mayhugh’s mother, father, and sister, KOCO and The Oklahoman reported, citing the probable cause affidavit.

Mayhugh was last seen on May 10 when he left for his parents’ house, according to a Facebook post shared by the Grady County Sheriff’s office.

Mayhugh told his girlfriend he was going to their house for pizza that night and court records show his mother texted him that dinner was ready around 5:30 p.m., KOCO reported.

Security cameras captured Mayhugh parking his car in Oklahoma City around 7 p.m. on May 10 and walking away, according to the station.

The next day, police received a 911 call about shell casings on the front porch of a residence and three possible victims inside, The Oklahoman reported.

An AR-15 with a serial number matching the one on a rifle Mayhugh bought on April 25, as well as spent shell casings, were found inside the home, according to KOKH.

Rifle magazines collected as evidence had writing in white paint on them, according to media reports.

The words on the magazines have not been reported, and authorities have not provided a motive for the shooting.

Mayhugh was arrested on three counts of first-degree murder by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Oklahoma City Police Department, investigators said.

No bail was set, according to jail records.

Chickasha is about a 45-mile drive southwest from Oklahoma City.
