Officials in Texas have arrested two men and are looking for a third in connection to a murder case.

On May 11, Juan Carlos Hernandez De Leon was reported missing by his wife. She told officers he was last seen May 6, according to KVEO.

On May 13, Hidalgo County Sheriff Investigators received information about a possible homicide, in which a man was killed and then his body was moved to another location, according to a Facebook post by the sheriff’s office.

Investigators searched both locations and found human remains in Edinburg.

Hernandez De Leon’s body was placed in a barrel that was then buried, MYRGV reported.

While searching the properties, authorities arrested Jesus Grijalva, 43. They later issued warrants on murder charges for Roberto Salas, 35, and Samuel Uvalle Sr., 47.

On May 18, authorities located Uvalle Sr. and he was arrested, according to an updated Facebook post. Salas remains a fugitive.

Officials say the three men beat Hernandez De Leon with a hammer after he and Uvalle began to argue at a San Juan home, an affidavit said, according to KVEO. The three men then put his body in a barrel and took it to the Edinburg home.

Attorneys for the men were not available in court records.

Edinburg is a 230-mile drive south of San Antonio.
