Lucky casino player spends $3 on slot machine — and wins ‘dream’ jackpot in Las Vegas

Millions of people flock to Las Vegas every year to enjoy the nightlife, the live entertainment scene and the gambling.

One out-of-state visitor tested their luck at a casino off the Strip and ended up hitting the jackpot.

They won $2,170,581.77 on Friday, July 26, the Palms Casino Resort said in a Facebook post.

The guest sat at a “Wheel of Fortune” slot machine and put $3 into the machine and started playing.

They had 46 cents left when a message flashed on the screen alerting the player to call an attendant to verify a jackpot win, a photo shows.

The player had won $2.1 million.

“Wowza….dream hit. Congratulations!” one person commented on Facebook.

Other players have recently gotten lucky at Las Vegas casinos.

One person from Texas was at Treasure Island on July 16 when they wagered $3 on the Monte Carlo Spin and Win slot machine and hit the jackpot, McClatchy News reported.

They won $122,720.

Another player won nearly $2 million from a slot machine at the Encore at Wynn on July 14.
