Serial road rage suspect accused of threatening women with baseball bat in Oklahoma
A baseball bat-wielding man accused of targeting women in a series of road rage incidents in Oklahoma has been arrested, police say.
The Tulsa Police Department said it began investigating in December when it learned of similar road rage incidents that involved a man threatening women.
“In each incident, the suspect would typically exit his vehicle with a baseball bat, approach the other involved vehicle, and make threats,” police said in an Aug. 5 news release. “In multiple cases, the other involved drivers/victims were always women.”
In one instance — in May — the man followed a woman and eventually blocked in her vehicle, police said. He is accused of exiting his car with a baseball bat and using it to shatter the women’s windshield.
On July 31, the same man was involved in a similar encounter, according to police. In this case, he exited his vehicle and made threats to the woman as he tapped on her windshield with a bat, police said.
He was identified as Malcolm King, 69, and police said he was arrested Aug. 2. Officers found a baseball bat as they executed a search warrant.
King was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious injury to property, according to the news release. He was jailed on a $25,000 bond, jail records show.
