‘Check your junk drawer.’ Three big lottery prizes are set to expire in Oregon soon
Lottery players should check their junk drawers and coat pockets before these three big lottery prizes expire in Oregon, officials said.
The tickets include two Powerball tickets and a Keno ticket, the Oregon Lottery said in a Sept. 18 news release.
A lucky Keno player won $58,372.20 from a ticket sold in Salem, lottery officials said. It expires Sept. 21.
Another player scored a $150,000 Powerball prize. This ticket was bought in Bend, and it expires Oct. 9.
The last lottery ticket that’s set to expire soon is a $50,000 Powerball prize. It was sold in Wilsonville and expires Oct. 18.
“It’s time to check your junk drawer, coat pockets, and under the couch — anywhere a ticket could disappear,” Oregon Lottery’s Manager of Player Services Heidi Quiring said in the release
Quiring said players can’t claim their prizes after a year.
If no one comes forward, the money will return to the state and go to Oregon Lottery beneficiaries, lottery officials said.
Players who won a prize over $50,000 can claim them by appointment at the Salem and Wilsonville Prize Payment Centers.
