Elle King says her family ‘got a little bit brighter’ after welcoming baby No. 2
Five months after announcing she and her boyfriend, Dan Tooker, were expanding their family, singer Elle King is officially a mom of two.
On Friday, Feb. 28, King and Tooker took to Instagram to share a photo of their newest bundle of joy.
“Our family just got a little bit brighter,” the proud parents wrote, before revealing their son’s name.
“Welcome to the world Royal Tooker.”
Several of her famous friends including comedian Amy Schumer and reality star Lala Kent shared their congratulations.
“Girllllllllll!!!!!” Schumer wrote. “Congratulations, mama!!!” Kent added.
King and Tooker first met in 2019 when she was a customer at his tattoo shop, People reported.
They got engaged in 2020 before welcoming their first son, Lucky, into the world in 2021.
Two years later, King and Tooker separated in 2023, then rekindled their romance in 2024.
“We had to grow,” King told People of their reconciliation. “I don’t know. I’ll try anything twice.”
King later credited their son Lucky with inspiring them to give their relationship another chance.
“He’s definitely brought me and his dad back together just because, what are we doing?” King told People.
“We have everything that both of us have ever wanted right here. Let’s put our weapons down. Come on. This is it. This is life. It doesn’t get better than this. This is worth trying. This is worth wiping a slate clean. This is worth all the effort in the world. My family, this is what deserves all the energy and effort.”
