A gambler went to a Las Vegas casino and ended up walking away with a big prize.

The player sat at a Jackpot Carnival Extreme slot machine at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, the casino said in a Feb. 27 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The guest made a $2 bet, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.

Then a jackpot message appeared saying the player had won $15,039.

“Step right up and collect your winnings!” the casino wrote.

Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall is about a 5-mile drive east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Another gambler had “unbelievable luck” at Suncoast Hotel & Casino.

This player bet 88 cents on a Fu Dai Lian Lian Panda slot game and won over $10,000.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
