A vehicle plunged off the second story of a parking garage to the pavement below in an early-morning crash, California police reported.

Officers responded to the crash at about 4 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, the Pleasant Hill Police Department said in a news release.

A photo with the release shows the vehicle resting on its front end at an entrance to the parking garage.

No one was seriously hurt in the crash, and officers arrested the driver on a charge of driving under the influence, police said. The vehicle was towed.

“Please, designate a sober driver, use ride share or public transportation if you are planning on consuming alcohol,” police said in the release.

Pleasant Hill is about a 30-mile drive northeast from San Francisco.
