Former bar president to run for Pierce County judgeship
Attorney Thomas P. Quinlan has announced he will run for a Pierce County Superior Court judgeship.
He said Monday that he will seek the position of either Ronald Culpepper or Vicki Hogan, who have said they will not seek re-election this year.
Quinlan has practiced law in Pierce County for almost 25 years and recently headed the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association.
He’s an attorney with the law firm of Smith Alling and has been a commissioner pro tem for Pierce County Superior Court and a pro tem municipal judge in the county.
Quinlan has also been a judge advocate for the Army.
He has three adult children and lives with his wife, Susan, in Gig Harbor.
