Candidates for state, federal, Pierce County offices to answer questions at forums

Candidates for the 25th and 26th Legislative Districts will answer questions at candidate forums next week.

The League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County has posted a schedule of the forums it is hosting ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Candidates for the Senate and House in the 25th, which includes Puyallup, Fife, Midland, Parkland and South Hill, will answer questions at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21.

The forum for House candidates in the 26th — which includes Gig Harbor, the Key Peninsula and part of Kitsap County — is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.

A forum for Pierce County Council candidates for Districts 4 and 6 is Sept. 29, and one for the Pierce County Executive candidates is Oct. 5.

Next will be the Senate and House candidates for the 28th Legislative District on Oct. 6, and candidates for Pierce County Council Districts 2 and 3 Oct. 8.

Superintendent of Public Instruction candidates are up Oct. 12, followed by the 10th Congressional District candidates Oct. 14.

Last will be the candidates for Pierce County Superior Court Judge Position 4 on Oct. 19, and the candidates for Pierce County Sheriff on Oct. 21.

The 10th Congressional District forum is co-sponsored by the Leagues of Women Voters in Thurston and Mason Counties. The forums for Pierce County Executive and County Council candidates are co-hosted by the Tacoma/Pierce County Affordable Housing Consortium.
