Oopsy! Pierce County voter pamphlet missing a page. Here’s plan to fix it

Voters who reside within the boundaries for the Tacoma, Franklin Pierce and White River school districts will receive a new voter pamphlet for the Feb. 10 special election after the original copy was misprinted.

The county’s printing vendor inadvertently excluded the second proposition that the three school districts have on the ballot next month in the original pamphlet, printing the first proposition twice. Ten of Pierce County’s 15 school districts have tax measures on the ballot next month, largely replacement levies to cover costs like technology and operations.

County officials will mail the corrected page on Jan. 26, and voters can look for the page starting Jan. 27, according to a news release from the county.

“Ballots were not affected,” the release states. “We sincerely apologize for the confusion and we appreciate your understanding.”
