Here’s who is running for elected office in Pierce County this year

By the end of candidate filing week on May 8 at 5 p.m., dozens of candidates filed paperwork to run for office in Pierce County.

Voters this year will elect a county auditor, prosecuting attorney, three county council members, a handful of judges and an array of state representatives. The candidates who filed for office with the Secretary of State by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 8 are on track to appear on the ballot for the August primary on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Ballots for that election will go out on July 17, according to Pierce County elections.

The general election is Nov. 3.
