Hoppy, light or malty beer: This Washington brewery has “something for every kind of beer lover.”

Georgetown Brewing Company in Seattle was recognized as the best spot to grab a beer in the state, according to a new Yelp ranking.

Yelp released “Where to find the best brews in every state” May 1.

To find the best places for beer, the restaurant review company identified businesses in the breweries category and ranked them based on the “total volume and ratings of reviews.”

Georgetown Brewing Company owners Roger Bialous and Manny Chao began making beer at one of their homes in 2002.

Now they run the brewery in a warehouse with a tasting room and a canning and brewing area.

“If you want the best beer in Seattle this is the place to go,” one person wrote on Yelp. “The people at Georgetown do a great job and there are a number of their fine craft beers you can only get at the brewery.”

There are six beers that always stay on the menu, and they include two pale ales, two India pale ales, a pilsner and a porter.

The rest of the beer on tap rotates. The brewery’s latest menu is separated into five categories: hoppy; not-so-hoppy; malty, dark, strong; fruity, sour, peculiar and not beer.

One of its most recent creations is Draft Only IPA, which the brewery created with Boneyard Beer, a brewery in Bend, Oregon.

Draft Only IPA is a West Coast IPA brewed with “Columbus, Cascade, Centennial, Comet and Chinook along with a supporting malt bill for flavors and aromas of spruce tip, hibiscus, lime zest and a dash of the Pacific Northwest.”

Guests can also buy growlers of beer and kegs. The brewery does not serve food.
