Powerball player wins big in Washington. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball player in Washington won $50,000, just missing the $80 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, June 14, Washington’s Lottery said.
The lucky ticket was sold at K P Smoke & Beer & Wine in Lakebay, which is about a 35-mile drive west from Tacoma, lottery officials told McClatchy News in an email.
A ticket sold in Indiana won $1 million in the same drawing.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $90 million, with a cash value of about $40.7 million, for the next drawing Monday, June 16, the national Powerball site said.
The winning numbers were 4, 6, 9, 23 and 59, with a Powerball of 25. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.
Nearly 420,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000, the lottery said.
The Powerball jackpot was last won May 31, when a California player hit the $204.5 million grand prize.
