Want Taylor Swift’s new album right when it drops? These WA Targets will have it

Swifties in Washington: take note.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift is dropping her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Oct. 3, and if you live near certain Target stores — or don’t mind taking a road trip — you have the chance to get your hands on a physical copy when the clock strikes midnight.

Select Target locations, including several in Washington, will be open at midnight Oct. 3 so fans can “be the first to get Taylor Swift’s newest album on three Target-exclusive CDs,” the retailer said on its website.

Here’s what you need to know:

What is ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ by Taylor Swift?

Swift’s 12th studio album has 12 tracks, including the titular “The Life of a Showgirl” with Sabrina Carpenter.

Swift recently shared some details about the album on “New Heights,” a podcast co-hosted by her newly-minted fiance, Travis Kelce, including that she worked on it during her record-breaking Eras tour.

How do you preorder ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ online?

The three Target-exclusive editions of the album come with a poster and collectible disc art, cover art and booklet, Target said.

The editions are: “It’s Frightening,” “It’s Rapturous” and “It’s Beautiful.”

You can preorder them online now for $14.99, not counting shipping, for delivery Oct. 3 or close to it, per Target’s website.

Another version, “Sweat and Vanilla Perfume,” also is available for pre-order in CD, cassette and vinyl form via Swift’s website, starting at $12.99, not including shipping. Target has that CD and vinyl version for pre-order, too.
