Poker player with ‘incredible hand’ wins big at Washington casino. See the cards

A poker player took home a big jackpot at Washington casino.

The lucky gambler won $79,519 playing four-card poker, Tulalip Resort Casino officials wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, Nov. 27.

The gambler won with four aces, claiming the entire progressive jackpot, the Tulalip casino officials said.

“That’s an incredible hand,” one person commented on the Facebook post.

“That’s incredible! Congrats!” another person wrote.

Tulalip is about a 75-mile drive north from Tacoma.

What is four-card poker?

In four-card poker, all players are pitted against the house, according to Upswing Poker.

“As the name implies, four-card poker is a card game where each player tries to make the best four-card poker hand according to standard poker hand rankings,” the poker training platform said.

“In each hand, all players get five cards, while the dealer gets five cards face down and a sixth card face up,” Upswing Poker explained. “If a player’s best possible four-card hand beats the dealer’s hand, that player wins.”

Four-of-a-kind is the highest-ranking hand, Upswing Poker said, followed by a straight flush.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
