WA lottery celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with $1 million raffle. How to enter
Washington’s Lottery is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by giving residents a chance to win $1 million.
Lucky players across the Evergreen State can also score smaller prizes ranging from $500 to $100,000, according to a Jan. 8 news release from Washington’s Lottery.
The St. Patrick’s Day Raffle is a “limited-ticket offering built around a single statewide drawing,” state lottery officials said.

What is St. Patrick’s Day raffle in Washington state?
It’s been nearly 15 years since Washington’s Lottery launched its first St. Patrick’s Day raffle, in 2012.
The new St. Patrick’s Day Raffle will limit sales to just 250,000 tickets, “creating stronger odds to win one of the raffle’s prizes,” state lottery officials said.
“With the new St. Patrick’s Day raffle from Washington’s Lottery, players know exactly how many tickets are in play across the state,” Washington’s Lottery director Brian Bennett said in the release. “That clarity, combined with multiple chances to win, makes this an exciting game to be a part of, and we’re looking forward to seeing players enjoy this different way to play.”
When can I buy a ticket? Where?
According to Washington’s Lottery officials, tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle go on sale on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at authorized lottery retailers across the state.
You can find a full list of official lottery ticket sellers on the Washington’s Lottery website.
Tickets cost $15 each and will be available for purchase through Monday, March 16, or “until all tickets are sold,” Washington’s Lottery said.
“Once all tickets are sold, the raffle will close and no additional tickets will be available,” state lottery officials said.
When there are less than 1,000 tickets remaining, Washington’s Lottery said it will place an “almost gone” banner on all purchasing equipment.
How much can I win in Washington lottery raffle?
Only one person can win the top St. Patrick’s Day raffle prize of $1 million, according to Washington’s Lottery.
There are 116 additional prizes.
Washington’s Lottery will give out $500 to 100 raffle ticketholders, while five people can win $10,000 each and five people can score $25,000 prizes.
According to Washington’s Lottery, there are also three $50,000 raffle prizes, two $100,000 prizes and one $250,000 prize up for grabs.
When is St. Patrick’s Day raffle drawing in 2025?
According to the Washington’s Lottery, the statewide St. Patrick’s Day raffle drawing will take place on Tuesday, March 17.
Players can check their numbers beginning on Wednesday, March 18.
You’ll have 180 days to claim your prize if you win.
