Where can you find the best pizza in Washington state?
Tasting Table, described as a “one-stop shop for all food and drink enthusiasts,” went in search of the top “pizza place in every state, hands down,” based on customer ratings, creative toppings and more.
“Is pizza the perfect food? It’s definitely in the running,” Tasting Table contributor D.B. Kelly wrote in an October article. “It’s almost infinitely customizable, never gets boring and there’s something out there for everyone.”

According to Tasting Table, Stevie’s Famous serves up the best pizza in Washington state.
The King County chain has two locations, including its flagship pizzeria at 822 SW 152nd St in Burien.
That restaurant offers pizza by the slice and whole pies along with housemade ice cream, natural wines and local beers with “a counter service vibe” and indoor and outdoor seating, according to the Stevie’s Famous website.
There’s also a Stevie’s Famous location inside Clock-Out Lounge, 4864 South Beacon Ave. in Seattle.
Both eateries are about a half-hour drive from Tacoma.
Tasting Table said Stevie’s Famous has “a small-town, friendly-neighborhood vibe, while putting out slices that would rival any big-city pizzeria.”
“Think greasy pepperoni, a flavorful, rich sauce and thin crust so good that it even wins fans from those who prefer deep dish styles,” the food review website said.

In addition to classic options including cheese, pepperoni and sausage, the pizzeria offers specialty pizzas including a white pizza with fresh mozzarella, whipped ricotta and gorgonzola cheese, and a mushroom pizza with red onion, gorgonzola and salsa verde.
The most popular option on the menu might be the Normie MacDonald, named after the late Canadian comedian, which features aged mozzarella, coppa, hot honey, grana and burrata.
Customers can also make whole pizzas and slices “Normie” style by adding fresh burrata and house-made hot honey.
For dessert, Stevie’s Famous offers an array of ice creams, with flavors including chocolate, pistachio and vanilla custard.

Stevie’s Famous has an average Yelp rating of 4.2 stars out of five.
“This is my go-to pizza spot in the neighborhood and has been since they’ve opened,” Yelp user Christopher N. of Seattle wrote in his five-star review.
Yelp user Lucy L. of Astoria, Oregon, called Stevie’s Famous a “small pizza place that delivers huge on taste!”
“Oh yeah ... this was worth the trip to Burien,” Yelp reviewer Gary C. of Redmond wrote, praising the restaurant’s “amazing NY-style pizza” as “definitely in the mix for best pizza in Seattle.” “Now I’ll look forward to dropping someone off at the airport since it will include a trip to Stevie’s Famous ...”
How did Tasting Table rank best pizza places in US?
To track down the best pizza places all 50 states, Tasting Table said it looked for pizzerias that were highly rated and recommended by customers.
“We also looked for places that get seriously creative with its pies while still offering all the old-school tradition — like a delicious crust appropriate to the style in question — that people have come to expect,” the food review website said.
Other factors included a “commitment to local sourcing, establishments with chefs and founders who studied with Italian masters” and “overall longevity,” Tasting Table said. “We also took any awards from national and international pizza competitions a place had won, as well as a commitment to bettering the communities served.”
