A Powerball ticket sold in Western Washington missed the jackpot but still won big, according to lottery officials.
The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the drawing on Saturday, March 21, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

The lucky Powerball ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven convenience store, 3120 South 176th St. in SeaTac.
It takes roughly 26 minutes to drive to SeaTac from Tacoma.
The Western Washington city is about a 20-minute drive from Seattle.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s Powerball drawing were 12, 28, 36, 41 and 59 with a Powerball of 2, according to the national Powerball website.
