A Powerball player in Western Washington scored a six-figure prize despite falling short of the jackpot, according to lottery officials.
The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing on Wednesday, April 1, according to Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.
The lucky lottery player initially won $50,000.
However, the player added a Power Play multiplier that increased the prize to $150,000, a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.

The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at a WinCo Foods grocery store at 160 Southwest Campus Drive in Federal Way, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.
It takes roughly 20 minutes to drive from Tacoma to Federal Way.

The winning numbers in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were 4, 10, 11, 52 and 64 with a Powerball of 24, according to the national Powerball website.
