Olympic National Park drew more than 3.5 million visitors over the course of the year.
In contrast, the five least-visited national lands in the Evergreen State each brought in less than half a million visitors.
Four of them failed to yield even 100,000 visitors, according to Park Service data.

Lake Chelan National Recreation Area was the least visited National Park Service site in Washington state in 2025, with an estimated 39,466 visitors, according to federal data.
2025 was its second-best year for visitor numbers since 2017.
About 35 miles south of the U.S.-Canada border, the recreation area was impacted by historic flooding and a prolonged government shutdown, as well as consistent staffing issues.
Lake Chelan drew the most annual visitors — 58,076 — in 1991, the first year its visitation rates were recorded.

The third least-visited Parks Service location of 2025 was Whitman Mission National Historic Site in Walla Walla.
Staff there recorded 54,089 visitors.
While this was fewer visitors than in 2024, the site still attracted more visitors in 2025 than it’s seen every other year since 2014.
Whitman Mission recorded its most visitors in 1976, when 151,800 people visited, according to Parks data.
Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Seattle also ranked among the least visited National Park Service sites in the state in 2025, with 79,564 visitors.
The historical park’s best year for visitation was in 2000, when it attracted 124,680 visitors.
How close did San Juan come to attracting 1 million visitors?
San Juan National Historical Park near the south end of San Juan Island brought in 420,922 visitors in 2025.
It was the only National Park Service-managed location to bring in more than a 100,000 visitors that year without reaching a million.
Staff noted some of the visitor counters were broken, so they estimated certain monthly rates.
