The mobile events are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Castle Rock, Kalama and Woodland, but 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Ryderwood.

On April 25, people can throw away hazardous materials at Cascade Select Grocery Market, 204 Cowlitz St. West in Castle Rock.

On May 2, people can dispose of waste at the park-and-ride near the 300 block of Kalama River Road.

Ryderwood's event will be on Sept. 9 and Woodland's on Oct. 24, with more details to be released later.

Only residential waste will be collected at these events, not waste from businesses, including schools, farms and churches, according to a notice from the county.

Other unacceptable items include unlabeled products, empty paint cans, leaking containers, containers larger than 5 gallons or 50 pounds, explosives, radioactive material or biological waste.

If people cannot attend the event, a permanent collection facility is open 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Waste Control Transfer Station, 1150 Third Ave., Longview.
