Longview Library Board aims to fill vacancy

People can apply to join the Longview Library Board of Trustees to fill a vacancy.

The trustees oversee the Longview Public Library's spending, advocate for the library, and aim to improve and extend services to those who aren't currently served by the department, according to a city notice.

The board meets at 4 p.m. on the second Monday of every other month.

The position is not paid.

Most members must live in Longview, but up to two members may reside in the county's mini partial rural library district.
