Baumgartner sets public meetings in Waitsburg, Dayton on May 1

U.S. Rep. Michael Baumgartner is scheduled to appear from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Wolfing Coffee, 206 Main St., in Waitsburg for a mini-town hall. His appearance was announced in an emailed news release by the Waitsburg Commercial Club.

Later at 3 p.m. Friday, Baumgartner is expected to meet with residents and constituents on the steps of the Columbia County Courthouse, 341 E. Main St., in Dayton, according to the Dayton Chronicle.

These are the first public in-person meetings Baumgartner has scheduled in Walla Walla and Columbia counties since January 2025. He met with veterans at the Walla Walla VFW in a private gathering in July 2025. Baumgartner has regularly hosted online town halls accessible through Facebook.
