Skagit Valley College baseball team falls to Shoreline

MOUNT VERNON - The Skagit Valley College baseball team lost to Shoreline 6-1 and 8-5 on Saturday in a Northwest Athletic Conference North Region doubleheader.

In the first game, the Cardinals fell behind the Dolphins 5-1 in the second inning.

Skagit Valley's Kai Douglas was 2-for-4 with a walk, and Ikko Kashima drove in the team's only run on a first-inning single.

In the second game, Shoreline broke a 4-4 tie with four runs in the 11th inning. Skagit Valley then scored once in the bottom of the 11th.

Skagit Valley's Aiden DePaula and Randall McGaugh hit solo home runs.

The Cardinals are 6-16 in North Region play and 7-32 overall.
